Get the Correct Visa for Your Plan!
It’s crucial to know which type of visa you will need before visiting New Zealand. The most common visas for Global English World students are Visitor Visas, Student Visas, and Working Holiday Visas.
NZeTA – New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority
From 1 Oct 2019, the NZeTA is required for some visitors. Check if it applies to you.
Visitor Visa
- For stays of 3 months or less.
- Study full-time or part-time, but cannot work.
- Bring a printed copy of your Offer Letter and other relevant documents.
Student Visa
- For stays longer than 3 months.
- Study full-time.
- Allows 20-hour per week work permit if enrolled for at least 14 weeks.
Working Holiday Visa
- For certain nationalities.
- Stay for 6-12 months, work, study up to 6 months.
Post-study Work Visa
- For students with acceptable qualifications completed in NZ.
- Work for 1-3 years in almost any job.
Partner of a Student Work Visa
- For partners of Student Visa holders studying certain qualifications.
- Allows the partner to work in NZ.
